*Been helping my friends set up their email here for years. *In SMTP, your security type is STARTTLS (Accept all certificates) *In IMAP, your security type is SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates) If you can send and receive your test message you have now successfully set up your email.Īll pretty much the same thing except you need to do the following: Verify you can send an email to yourself. Verify that the server port is 993, and if not change it to it. Then click Account>Advanced and scroll down to Incoming Settings. Before you go anywhere, go back to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>and click the newly created email account. The email and password should reflect that from the website.Ĥ.Incoming Mail Server should be the following Host Nameħ. Go back to your phone and fill out the Name as your name. The username is your login address, and your password is the vendor password. In email clients like Outlook, Outlook Express, Android, iPhone, and iPad you may not need to spend too much time completing the Hotmail set up on them as the device or email client may fill up the IMAP, POP, and SMTP settings automatically.
